Our mission is to provide a base of knowledge, encouraging both reading and critical thinking in a safe environment.
The purpose of the special education staff is to meet students where they are intellectually, academically, and behaviorally and assist them in their growth and development within the educational setting. Students who qualify for services based on Rule 51 of the Nebraska statutes will receive services in their least restrictive environment. For some students this means regular education with special education consultation or support. Other students may need to receive direct instruction from special education staff in the resource room. Other students may need more specialized instruction at another location. Minatare Public Schools contracts with the Educational Service Unit 13 and other service providers to meet the individual learning needs of the qualifying students.
